  4. Transition to Middle School • During Term 3 Y5 students work with Middle school students and teachers • Year 5 students attend middle school assemblies • Year 5 students given additional responsibilities • Teachers meet to handover information

  5. Transition to Middle School • Formal ‘Transition Days’ in term 3. • Orientation Day • Children and parents consulted on friendships • Residential • Leadership and service roles • Transition. Preparation throughout the year

  6. Transition from Infants • During Term 3, Year 3 students work with Year 2 students informally • Year 3 teachers to introduce themselves and begin building relationships • Year 2s attend The Hub for lunch • Year 2s attend Junior School Assemblies • Children and parents consulted on friendships

  8. Transition to another school • We provide a recent school report. • Testing carried out in school. • Meetings with teachers if required • Children take all books, work, assessment data and artwork home. • Teachers complete references for the new school.
