  10. ANR SPRING UPDATE • March 5 – Robinson Station • Main focus will be Horticulture • BUDGET UPDATE – FEDERAL • Farm Bill passed (mandated programs - SNAP) • Restored sequester cuts • Smith Lever allocations ($271mil to $300mil FY 14)

BUDGET UPDATE – STATE and UK • Updates: UK President and Provost • State Proposal: 2.5 % cut in operating funds • House restored 2.5 % for Post-Secondary • Senate expected to follow suit • Operating funds: i.e. salaries, teaching, Extension • Governor’s Budget is first - changes until 4/15 • UK is Charting it’s course: • New 6 Year Strategic Plan • New Financial Budget Model
