  4. What Is Novel? • A story long enough to fill a complete book, in which the characters and events are usually imaginary • Plot, character and atmosphere • Language, style and imagery

Many people and is often written incorrectly. "then" has to do with time as in.   17. What Is Grammar? • "Grammar" usually is described as the study of words and how they come together to form sentences. • "Grammar" means "elements". Therefore, "grammar" addresses the elements of a story.

  18. Grammar For Novels • Grammar is differently used between different novels. Books have different using, levels, and contents. • Avoid sentence fragments • Never end a sentence in a preposition (except, of course, for the exceptions to that rule) • More systematic, recursive, andexplicit.

For example: The Five People You Meet in Heaven This is a story about a man named Eddie and it begins at the end, with Eddie dying in the sun. it might seem strange to start a story with an ending. (present tense) The last hour of Eddie’s life was spent. At the time of his death, Eddie was a white-haired old man. (past tense)
