  3. Working Conditions: • Work in Clean, well lit areas • Usually work in shifts throughout the week • Need to handle many tasks at one time

  4. Working Conditions: D. Spend a great deal of time walking and on their feet • May be exposed to various illnesses and radiation • May work nights, weekends, and holidays

  5. Who They Work For: • Hospitals and emergency rooms • Physicians offices • Public health departments and clinics • Military

  6. Training Required: • High school diploma • Formal training and licensure • Radiology technologist – 2 to 3 year community college Associate’s degree

  7. Training Required: • CT/MRI – require special training following radiology technologist education • Ultra sonographer – 2 year community college Associate’s degree

  8. Skills: • Good listening skills • Good speaking/communication skills • Ability to stay calm • Empathy • Critical thinking and problem solving • Mathematical confidence

  9. Knowledge areas: • Medicine • Algebra • Biology • Physics • Chemistry • Counseling, psychology, and interpersonal communication G. Management
