  1. Warm-upDecember 17, 2013 • Copy Agenda message and EQ • Find the mean, median, mode, and range for the following data set: • 16, 25, 52, 42, 37, 26, 80, 42 • Is there an outlier? If so, what is it?

  2. Semester Test Review • Wilma puts $1,200 in a savings account that earns 5% interest per year. How much will she have after 2 years? • A recipe for rolls requires ½ cup of flour to make 8 rolls. If Marco only has $26.50, does he have enough to buy the skateboard? • Side Length 1 2 3 4 5 Perimeter5 10 15 20 25 What is the equation for this table?

  3. Semester test review • Minutes studied 5 10 15 Test Score 25 50 75 Is this relationship proportional? If so, what is the constant of proportionality (unit rate)? • On a map with a scale of 1 inch = 8 miles, two towns are 4 inches apart. How many miles apart are they? • Your bill at Joe’s Crab Shack was $58. You decide to leave a 20% tip. What fraction can you use to determine the tip amount? What is the tip?

  5. Mean Absolute Deviation(MAD) • Find the mean. • Calculate the deviation of each number in the data set to the mean. (ie find the difference) • Make all the deviations positive (their absolute value) • Find the mean of all the deviations. • The MAD will ALWAYS be a positive value.

  6. Warm-upDecember 17, 2013 • 16, 25, 52, 42, 37, 26, 80, 42
