  8. What is it? Facebook is a free, online social networking site that connects people through online communities. Job seekers can use Facebook to let people in their network know they are looking for a job. Can inform people what type of position interested in, put resume on their profile, join groups, follow companies, and have their network, ‘get the word out.’ Companies tend to look into people’s profiles to see: • what it is they are posting and, • what type of candidate they may be hiring

  11. What is it? Business-oriented social networking site. Professionals market their profile to the public for ‘contacts’ and ‘businesses’ to review. Professionals develop and maintain a list of profiles of people they know and trust in business – to be their “connections.” Companies can look for potential applicants to review their background and experience – to see if they are a good fit!

Service for friends, family, and co-workers to communicate and stay connected with frequent answers to one simple question: “What are you doing?” Job seekers can Tweet to their network they are looking for a job. Follow people/businesses in the field of interest. Learn about new clients, products/technology, coming out, etc.
