  2. Composition Guidelines Definition: The arrangement of your elements of art and design principles. Elements of Art: Line, shape, color, value, form, texture, space. Principles of Design: Balance, contrast, emphasis, movement, pattern, rhythm, unity

  3. Rule of Thirds Placing an object within the intersecting lines. (iPhone has an option to turn on grid)

  4. Lines Lines lead the viewer's attention to the subject. They can also convey emotions and feelings.

  5. Framing Using a building, structure, item, etc to create a natural frame and more emphasis

  6. Balance Informal: More visual weight on one side than the other Formal: equal visual weight on both sides of the picture

  7. Point of View Below, above, equal to.

  8. TIPS! Get close Fill the frame Try a different point of view Look at leading lines

  9. DONT’S Put things smack center (Try off to the left/right/bottom/top)
