Response to EDR-04 • VPTs • Pre-production, RIE: 500 delivered to RAL, Nov 2000. • Mass production contract, RIE, Oct 2001 for 15000 tubes. • Mass production: 1500 delivered • 1200 visually inspected and 1100 tested at 1.8T, RAL • Over 60 tested at 4T, Brunel • Full scale Endcap model • E0prime constructed at RAL, June-Oct, 2001 • Capacity for 4 cantilevered SCs • Accurate modelling of slice through Dee • Dee cooling, fibre optic & HV services plane, interim cooling plane, moderator, LV and power cooling plane, readout (50 channel units) plane, moderator+cooling HE side.
