  17. Specialized Cells Differentiation: Stem cells develop into a specific type of cell in response to triggers (chemicals) from the body or the cell itself.

  20. Two types: Adult Stem Cells Undifferentiated cell found in certain tissues and organs; function is to maintain and repair the tissue where they are found.

  29. Why do we care about stem cells? Test new drugs Instead of testing on living organisms, tests can be performed on specific cells generated by stem cells
