Educator Development Suite Centralized location for professional development resources and activities Develop and individualize professional growth plans Record classroom observations with online tools Review and report on multiple measures of educator development Recommend PD activities for individual growth Search the PD data bank by multiple measures, including keyword, standards or date to find resources faster.

Addresses Technology Task Force recommendation to have a single location for SDE professional development • Located in Schoolnet • Provides a ‘one stop shop’ for professional development calendar and registration • Currently SDE Students Come First professional development • Future home of all SDE professional development Phase I: Professional Development Planner (PDP)

  5. How to get to PDP • Login to the ISEE Portal • Click on the Schoolnet site • Once in Schoolnet locate the District ‘pull down’ at the top of the page above the blue ribbon and select ‘State of Idaho’ • This allows you to access the SDE calendar and registration for professional development

Registering for Professional Development • Click on ‘Educator Development’ on the blue ribbon • Select ‘PD search’ • Options to either use a Keyword in the title of the PD offering or select calendar • Utilizing the Calendar will provide the ability to filter PD opportunities by content and/or state initiative • Once you have selected the activity you’ll be able to register for available sections

  8. Activity by Topic • Developing knowledge and skills to support One to One implementation • Select calendar • To the right of the calendar select ‘Initiative’ • Check ‘1:1’ in the initiative box • Click ‘search’ • Calendar will populate with activities aligned with the ‘1:1’ initiative

  9. Benefits of PD Planner • Will provide one location to locate professional development • Provides a record of activities district personnel have registered for as well as those attended • Automatic email notifications and reminders • Follow up surveys and gathering of PD evaluations

Opportunity for District Level • Each district will have the opportunity to develop their own calendar/registration in Schoolnet • District leadership will determine use • Superintendent will submit request to jshyatt@sde.idaho.gov • Available anytime after September 1 • Learn how to setup a district PDP • Quick Start Guide available in Schoolnet • Webinar will be provided September 6 and archived • One day workshops on Planning for PD and using PDP held in each region during September • Ongoing SDE and Schoolnet support
