As a basis for under­standing this concept: Due Wednesday: Debate Paragraph If you want to participate in lab, you must complete the paragraph Do Now, Debating intro, 15 min to work on pros and cons HW/go over HW with your neighbor and prep for the debate, debate, reflection DEBATE NO STATIONS

  3. Assignment Mr. Anders is going to give everyone an F unless they write a 50 page paper about why Mr. Anders is so awesome Come up with 3 reasons why Mr. Anders should change his mind. Convince me or else I wont change my mind!!!

Grading • I will grade you on the following: • Providing evidence of your opinion • Speaking at least two times • Exemplar: “I believe scientists should be able to clone the best animalsBECAUSE the total number of animals farmers have to care for would decrease, but the amount of animal product is the same. This would cost farmers less money to produce the same amount of product if we had clones. • Poor: I believe scientists should be able to clone the best animals because they are the best and should be copied.

Instructions • Mr. Anders will call on a person on certain team to respond to a question. • Then up to 3 volunteers from that team can add to that response. • Then up to 4 volunteers from the opposing • If you like what someone says (no matter the group) you can snap your fingers for appreciation • EVERYONE MUST VOLUNTEER TWICE! • In order to win, your whole team must speak so feel free to help your teammates!!!
