Training Provider Issues • Forms • Supervisor – Spend more time explaining the need to be an Abatement Contractor and explain the application • Notification form – many students are not clear on how to fill one out after completing training • Insp/RA – Insure that Inspector and Risk Assessor are aware of monthly notification requirement

  6. Supervisors need more time understanding the difference between Interim Controls and Abatement (especially for soils). • Inspector/Risk Assessors need better understanding of the importance of the Calibration Check. We are seeing reports where it was done, but it is outside the PSC tolerances.

  7. Soil Sampling is still an issue. In many cases no, or insufficient, soil sampling is done. • And as always: Incorporate more real life hands-on skills in class. Be prepared enough with multiple activities or sufficient equipment to minimize standing and waiting for a turn.
