GOES One-hour Winds Product 1 • COPC Action Item 2011-1.3: Review and provide preferred priority of work associated with ESPC thaw with particular attention to the GOES experimental hourly winds. • AWIPS Development team successfully tested 1h GOES Atmospheric Wind Vectors (AMVs) in the AWIPS environment April 22-26, 2013. • 7/30/13 operational implementation was planned, but • EMC detected date stamp problem; NESDIS resolved • EMC detected time stamp problem; NESDIS resolved • EMC noted discrepancy in AMV data counts; NESDIS resolved

GOES One-hour Winds Product 2 • NCEP/EMC has submitted RFC to NCEP Central Operations for implementing operational ingest of 1h GOES Winds • NCEP to coordinate e simultaneous NESDIS implementation of 1h winds as operationally generated product • Anticipated completion December 2013 • CSAB Recommendation: Keep Open
