In 2012, all 17 students from ICS qualified for the National History Day finals, bringing home five blue ribbons for first place and one red ribbon for second place. This impressive achievement in the senior division secured ICS the OSPI Outstanding School of the Year trophy. Over ninety ICS students dedicated their research to various topics, including the Seattle Strike of 1919, Immigration Acts, Gideon v. Wainwright, the Green Revolution, and Workers’ Rights. Congratulations to all the seniors for their hard work and success!

NHD 2012! Our 17 students all qualified for the finals and in the end came away with five blue ribbons(1stplaces) and one red ribbon(2nd place). This domination of the senior division also meant we were awarded the OSPI Outstanding School of the Year trophy. During the course of this year over ninety ICS students chose topics to research that reflected their interests in Science, Art, Environmental Studies, Theater, Government and the Law.
