BACKGROUND to CATHSSETA • The primary function of the Sector Education and Training Authorities (SETAs) is to contribute to the enhancing of skills and enable skills development of both the employed people and those aspiring to be employed in their respective sectors. • The functions and responsibilities of SETAs are set out in Chapter 3, section 10 of the Skills Development Act, 1998.

  3. BACKGROUND IT MANAGEMENT BID • The objective is to appoint a service provider to provide all CATHSSETA’s information Management services on the basis of a Service Definition and Service Level Agreements. In general all hardware, facilities and effort requirement to provide these services shall be provided and owned by the service provider. • CATHSSETA wishes to have a single point of responsibility for the delivery of IT and IT related services.

BID REQUIREMENTS • Company registration documents (cipro) • 1 Original, 5 x Copies & 1 electronic copy of Bid, • Provide proof and demonstrate that they are capable of delivering the service • Personnel Complement with proof of credentials • Provide an implementation plan & Detailed time schedules

  5. BID REQUIREMENTS • A detailed budget • An original valid tax clearance certificate. (SBD 2) • Completed and signed SBD documents: • SBD 4 declaration of interests, • SBD 6.1 Preference points claim form • SBD 9 Certificate of independent bid determination

  7. FUNCTIONALITY CRITERIA • FUNCTIONALITY – 400 POINTS • Bidders shall be evaluated in accordance with the evaluation criteria stipulated in the bid documents. • A minimum of 280 out of 400 points must be scored to qualify for further evaluation

  8. EVALUATION CRITERIA • Evaluation Criteria Bidders shall be evaluated in accordance with the criteria stipulated below: • Price 90 • BBBEE 10 Please note bidders must score a minimum of 280 out of 400 points to qualify for this evaluation

  9. LATE BIDS Late bids will not be accepted under any circumstances
