  1. Examples of how humans have interacted and changed the environment through the ages. Human interaction with the environment

  2. Early Man • Paleolithicera era- The old stone age where man learned to use stone tools. • Migrate- This is how man learned to move to better places and live more sophisticatedly. • Nomads- A group of people living with animals moving them place to place.

  3. Farmers and City Dwellers • Slash and Burn Farming- A way for man to clear land by burning trees to plant food. • Domesticate- The way man took in animals and trained them to help with daily life. • Irrigation- Mans way of letting the right amount of water to go to his crops.

  4. Mesopotamia • Code of Hammurabi- The first set of laws where everyone was equal, to keep people safe. • Silt- When the Nile River over flooded and deposited soil and tiny rocks to help grow crops. • Clay Tablets – Mans early way of keeping track of past events. This allowed them to read about there history. This is the code of Hammurabi

  5. Egypt • Pyramid- A temple in witch a mummy would be berried. This allowed the mummy have a home for its afterlife. • Papyrus- A way for man to keep track of history. Made of papyrus plant and pressed together with a little bit of water. • Mummification- Early mans way of preparing the body for the after life giving the Egyptians something to believe in.

  6. Greece Harbors – This helped early People store ships. This was needed because Greeks were known for sailing. Cultural Barrowing- This was a way of taking another cultures ideas and mixing it with there’s and this gave people some thing to believe in and place to go when then they die. Isthmus-A small strip of land connecting one area to another. This allowed people to walk or travel another way to interact.

  7. Rome • Roads- This allowed people to travel on smother terrain to go farther faster. • Concrete- A hard material that was/is great for building . • Coliseum- A great building with a huge structure.
