  3. Who Attacked? • Attack was by Al-Qaeda • A terrorist group from Pakistan • Lasted from 8:46 A.M. – 10:28 A.M.

  4. Deaths and Injuries • Deaths: 2,996 • Non-fatal injuries: 6,000+ • Deadliest incident for firefighters in United States history

  6. Attack on World Trade Center • American Airlines Flight 11 (North)(8:46 A.M.) • United Airlines Flight 175 (South) (9:03 A.M.) • Lead to collapse of Twin Towers • First attack of all the events • Total Deaths: 2,606

  7. Attack on Pentagon • American Airline Flight 77 (9:37 A.M.) • Lead to collapse of West Wall • Third event to occur • Total Deaths: 125

  8. Attack on Washington, DC • United Airlines Flight 93 (10:03 A.M.) • Flight crashed into field because of passengers regaining control • Thought to be targeting White House or Capital Building • Total Deaths: 48
