  3. Today’s Activities • Warm-up • Register for turnitin.com • Submit essay to www.turnitin.com • Complete brief reflection • HOMEWORK: Have a nice weekend

  4. Warm-up (see board for the date) • How have the first two weeks of high school gone for you? • What has surprised you (good or bad)? • What questions have developed for you?

  5. Registering for turnitin.com • Use your student email, not your home email. • Go to www.turnitin.com • Follow along as I go through the registration process.

  6. Turn in packet with the following: • Green form on top (checklist showing) • Peer revision form • Draft if you printed one out • Outline or graphic organizer • Interview Notes • Reflection questions • Staple all of these together. • Make sure that your name is on them.

  7. Reflection Questions • What do you feel are your strengths in writing? • In which areas do you feel that you need to improve? • How does this essay reflect your writing strengths or areas for improvement? Provide examples.

  8. First writing assignment deadlines • Monday 12th /Tuesday 13th: Outlining and drafting • Wednesday 14th /Thursday 15th : Drafts due, peer revision help and revising • Friday 16th: Finals due to www.turnitin.com
