Today’s Activities • Warm-up • have drafts out to be stamped while you work on the warm-up • Turn in signed syllabus • Writing assignment revising and editing • HOMEWORK: Finals due Friday. We will submit them to turnitin.com in class. You will not need to turn in a hard copy.
Warm-up Expectation Reminders • You can use a regular piece of notebook paper (not ripped out of a spiral, or a journal. • Have your name on the paper or journal • Date each entry • Please keep these neat, without doodles, notes, etc. on them. • Put more than one on a page. • It is ok to use the back of the page.
Warm-up (see board for the date) The most important rule in this class is to show kindness and compassion.
Revising Guidelines • Switch essays with your partner. • As you read over the essay, write comments on the paper and complete the peer revision handout. • Readers: Since this essay is about you and will represent you as a person, you have the right to let your partner know of any information they may have missed, misrepresented, or included that should not be present. Let your partner know. • After receiving your essay back, work on revisions
First writing assignment deadlines • Monday 12th /Tuesday 13th: Outlining and drafting • Wednesday 14th /Thursday 15th : Drafts due, peer revision help and revising • Friday 16th: Finals due to www.turnitin.com
