  5. To recap Rise • NRD commissioned following NSF 2004/5 • Signed off in 2008 • Mandated from May 2009 and 2011 Plateau • Loss of momentum in NPfIT • Loss of clarity around mandation • Loss of purpose “what is the point of the NRD”

The rise again Under going a re-fresh • Removal of items • Duplicates • Not considered useful for National Collection • Those frankly not collectable • Re-statement of “mandation” to UKRR and NHSBT • Re-focus on key Quality Standards and Indicators for quality improvement (IQI) • Evidence that it is needed (e.g. PbR)
