Key point 1: How does the search engine work There are difference in the ways various search engine work, but they all perform three basic tasks: • They search the Internet – or select pieces of the internet – based on important words. • They keep an index of the words they find, and where they find them. • They allows users to look for words or combinations of words found in that index.

The advantages are: • To expand the knowledge easily through using search engine. • Only need to put key words in search box and then in less than a second thousands of useful answer will show on the screen.
