ARcView GEN or Shapefile Format The Theory • Provincial Fuel data is created by GIS Tech – overlapping grid files • Provincial FBP Lookup Table is created by GIS Tech • Daily Weather data is created by Weather Tech for different Regional Areas • The Fire Ignition Information is from Fire Report(s)

Prometheus Loading the Data Information Prometheus – Initial Project Window • 1st Step • Create a Project • Load the Fuel Data • Initiate Prometheus - Double-Click on Icon • Initial Available Options • Create a NEW Project – Project Wizard • Open an existing Project • Get Prometheus HELP • Can Load Provincial Background ICON • Create bitmap file – UserBack.bmp • Save file in INSTALL directory Click File / New Project

Prometheus Loading the Data Information Prometheus - New Project Wizard • Loads Application standard fuel lookup table • Assigns fuel numbers and colors • If Prometheus – all possible fuels • If Provincial – provincial fuels and colors • If Prometheus Application • Create or Load provincial LUT file • Other Options • Create new fuel type • Delete fuel types • Export LUT file • Defaults Options • Set provincial LUT as application default • Load original Prometheus LUT default Click NEXT

Prometheus Loading the Data Information Prometheus - New Project Wizard • Specify location of standard fuel look-up table • Looks for file with LUT extension • Hi-lite and Click OPEN or Double Click • Information is Automatically Loaded in Table • Numbers are assigned to FBP fuels • Colors are assigned to FBP fuels • ALL options are still available • Create new, delete old • Change number or colors • Create NEW personal LUT file Click NEXT

Prometheus Loading the Data Information Prometheus – Next Steps • Verify FBP Fuel Information in Component View • Expand FBP Fuel Types • Verify FBP Fuel Information in Map View • Right-Click and Activate TRACE Function • Move cursor over fuel types in Map View • Check Fuel Types in TRACE window • Check FBP Fuel Properties • GoTo File / Comments Project • Enter Information to identify Project • SAVE Project • Once Project is saved, auto-save function applies
