  12. Purchasing Eligibility • Federal agencies – any federal agency can utilize the GSA Wildland Fire program • State and Local activities – must obtain sponsorship

Purchasing Authority • View the inter-agency agreement: • www.gsa.gov/fireprogram • Under “Important Program Information” • Authorization granted through cooperative agreement with the US Forest Service • USFS informs GSA of agreement • GSA issues an Activity Address Code (AAC) • AAC acts as GSA account

Cooperative Purchasing • Authorized by: • Section 211 of E-Government Act of 2002, and; • Public Law 110-248, Local Preparedness Acquisition Act • Encompasses: • Schedule 70 (IT Products & Services) • Schedule 84 (Law Enforcement, Security, Facilities Management, Fire Rescue, Clothing, Marine Craft and Emergency/Disaster Response) • Different than Wildland Fire Program • All items may not meet NFES • Varying delivery times • Higher priced on average • Good source for items not found in Global Supply
