  1. ADVERT ANALYSIS EVIE DRAKE

  2. GOOGLE PLUShttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pTjHCCU2E4c The 2012 Google Plus advert gives a happy emotional response because it can relate to couples as such. This advert uses its own programme to show its different uses, which means it did not cost much to make as it is its own company. Realist, narrative and use of computer skills. It uses home films to make the advert look more realistic and easier to relate to.

  3. EDF ENERGYhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s2BwOMBlato EDF energy advert is a humourous narrated animation of a little toy showing different uses of energy in a household. The main message is if you use EDF energy you will save money in a environmentally safe way. This advert has an emotional response of a feel good sense.

  4. FEBREEZEhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DwEPKTn4ies The American style Febreeze advert shows an example scene of the product working in a real life situation. However the lip syncing is not in time, it is very noticeable and has been pointed out by many people to the ASA. This particular Febreeze advert is aimed at teenagers, if you use this air freshener your friends will like you more.

  5. MAYBELINE MASCARAhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=02H0y7YL6Nc Maybelline Mascara 2003 advert is a realist forum; it’s likely to happen in real life and is a real purchasable product. It is a surreal advert as it exaggerates the length the mascara makes eyelashes. The advert uses mostly close up shots as it is focusing on the eyes of the model. Bright lighting is used to make the model and atmosphere look more vibrant. The main message in this advert is ‘if you use this mascara, you will have longer thicker eyelashes’. However a misleading message could be seen that if you use this mascara you will look like the model. This caused complaints to the company but it wasn’t a big enough issue to ban the advert.

  6. TALK TO FRANKhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4LnA-xCz5U8 The 2007 Talk to Frank advert was anti realist containing a talking dog narrating the advert. Due to the unusual fact there was a talking dog it was seen as quite humorous at the same time of a serious message – don’t take drugs. The advert contains facts and figures which show professionalism in the company which will gain popularity in the service. Mostly close ups on each character and is low lighting to show the dark side of the topic. This advert got banned because of complaints to the ASA that it was too explicit and could cause influence with drugs on younger people. Also there were complaints about animal cruelty on the dog in the advert.
