  5. ROLE IN DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION • Help determine objectives • Advise on delivery strategies for target audiences • Advise on learner characteristics • Marketing programs in communities

  6. ROLE IN EVALUATION AND ACCOUNTABILITY • Provide feedback on program success • Help determine if programs meet objectives set • Advise on merits of continuing programs • Help identify and tell success stories

  7. What Advisory Leaders Do... • Identify key people or stakeholders • Talk and listen to key leaders • Advise extension which programs are valuable to clientele • Help tailor programs to specific audiences • Listen for feedback about programs

  8. BEING PROFICIENT • Concentrate on communication skills • Engage personal network of influence • Learn scope of extension programs • Know everything possible about extension customers you represent
