  4. What it’s about • Learning to learn the HE way • Computing • Success in getting on to a computing degree • If you work and keep up • 34 out of the 43 students who started on the Foundation Year the year before last are on BSc (honours) degrees now

How you are to learn • Four modules: • iPAS,iM,iSDCS, iWTDS • Lectures, Tutorials and Workshops and your own work • Assessments (assignments, portfolios, presentations, class tests, etc, etc) • research, reading, exercises, watching the telly, chatting in the bar etc • Lots of module time is designed to help you do well in these tasks
