  3. SolStonePlus Overview • 28 years as a Business Intelligence solutions provider • Widely regarded as Oracle's most experienced BI Partner         • Staff and Customer Loyalty • Premiere Annual Sponsors of the UK Oracle User Group for 2008-2011 • Independent Oracle advice • Pragmatic guidance on new and existing Oracle products

  4. Objectives of the presentation • Leave with a better understanding of the realistic options and what other organisations are doing • The views expressed in this presentation are my own personal views and do not reflect the views of Oracle or any other vendor. And I don’t know everything about everything! • Safe Harbour ... Anything you see from potential future releases is not a commitment from Oracle (and therefore not many screenshots!)

  5. Oracle Software Framework • Reports, Discoverer and XML/BI Publisher • OBI • EE • SE1 • Foundation • BI Applications / Analytics • Embedded Analytics

  6. Some Roadmap Options to consider • Stay with Discoverer and deal with Reports and FSGs using BI (XML) Publisher • Perform a technical migration to OBI from Discoverer and Reports • Build a bespoke data warehouse • Implement BI Applications before or after R12 • Re-implement then build an archive data warehouse • Buy another software package to report from Financials • Wait for Embedded BI in Fusion Applications • ... any other options raised by the audience

  7. ETL Roadmap • ODI • Informatica • Choice in first release • OWB

  8. A bit of crystal ball* gazing • Oracle Transaction BI (OTBI) • Oracle BI Applications • Specialised Analytics (Essbase and Real-Time Decisions) • I won’t know all the details, but can find out * Not of course Oracle Crystal Ball ;)

  11. Integration of OBIA and OTBI and Fusion

  12. Integration of OBIA and OTBI and Fusion • Shared metamodel • OBIA from data warehouse • OTBI from source tables • Many performance improvements promised • OTBI can be placed on dashboard • OBIA can be added to the Fusion Applications reporting pane • BI Composer for new reports • Search Integration

  13. BI Composer – Available now

  14. Specialised Analytics • Enhancing the GL
