1. A CHRISTIAN PERSPECTIVE OF ISLAM PART 3 TWIN TOWERS BIBLICAL PRINCIPLES OF LIVING SERIES
2. Introduction This past year, America commemorated the “10th Anniversary” of this terrorist attack on America. It was a “somber” and “sober” remembrance for all of us as Americans – especially the family and friends of the people who lost loved ones in that hostile aggression against us by jihadists in the name of Allah.
3. Introduction We have also seen the official opening of the “Mosque at Ground Zero” that has been such a source of debate and decision – because of its close proximity to where the “Twin Towers” once stood and where the “Freedom Tower” is being built. It officially opened on Wednesday, Sept. 21st.
4. Introduction This Moslem Mosque is being called“Park51” andis masqueradedas a “Multi-Faith Community Center” that is “inclusive” and “inter-faith.” Interestingly, it displays 169 pictures of “NY children from around the world” – photographed by Jewish Photographer, Danny Goldfield. It will ultimately be able to seat 2,000 people; but is now primarily being used as a “Muslim Place of Prayer.”
5. Introduction It was developed by Sharif El-Gamal, a Brooklyn born Muslim, and has been built in the heart of a section of NY with a high Muslim population. While it is being promoted as a “multi-faith center,” it will ultimately be under majority Muslim control so it can begoverned andrun by sharia law.
6. Introduction I found all of this especially interesting since I haverecentlyspent 5 weeks traveling and ministering in Africa. I again saw “up close and personal” the growing threat of “militant Islam.” I can see very clearly and graphically a “spiritual parable” in those destroyed “Twin Towers”…the building of the mosque at Ground Zero…and the on-going construction of the “Freedom Tower” – and that is what I want to share with you in this teaching.
7. Introduction The “Twin Towers” were dual symbols of the power and prosperity of America – which is why they were attacked and destroyed, along with a similar attack on the Pentagon, our bastion of military power & supremacy. So this 9/11 radical Islamic assault was an attack against the monetary and military supremacy of America as the world’s last remaining “Super Power.”
8. Introduction Their domination of the NY skyline was a towering symbol of the supremacy of the “American Dream” over the “living nightmare” that the majority of the rest of the world experiences. They are reduced to living under the tyrannies of corrupt govern-ments and pagan religions – especially Islam.
9. Introduction To bring those “Twin Towers” down was to strike a deadly blow at the essence of Americanism and Christianity! It was an attack designed specifically to bring America down and exalt the supremacy of Allah and Islam.
10. Introduction Let’s look at the destruction of the “Twin Towers” and the construction of the “Mosque at Ground Zero”. They are the symbols of the two world religions that influence or dominate the majority of the human race politically and religiously. 11. Introduction While they are only several blocks apart geographically, they are worlds apart spiritually. These two structures do have some commonalities, however. Both have some similar belief structures in their foundations: Monotheistic – belief in One God Sons of Abraham Evangelistic But the differences are far greater than their similarities…
