Here are surprising facts about Father's Day: Other Latin American countries that celebrate Father's Day on the third Sunday of June, include: Argentina, Belize, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador,  Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico and Venezuela. While most Latin American countries celebrate Fathers Day on the same date as the United States, some do not. Dodd wanted to honor her widowed Civil War veteran father, William Smart, and picked June 17, 1910 in honor of her father's birthday. Americans spend over $1 billion annually on Father’s Day presents. And while ties and flowers are popular gifts, the one item people buy the most of each Father's Day are cards. In fact, Hallmark claims that the fourth biggest card giving occasion in the world is Father's Day, with 87 million cards exchanged each year. The official flower of Father's Day is the rose. He spoke for his family; he declared their intent.(1) A priest cannot function unless he is in close contact with God. • (2) According to the Bible, the family was designed to be the basic educational unit (Deut. 6:6-9; 11:18; Eph.6:4).  • It is the father’s duty, then, to make sure his children know how to be saved and how to walk in the ways of the Lord. • The greatest thing a father can pass on to his children is the love of God. • B. The family will usually follow the parent, especially the father.

Give them everything their little hearts desire.

Plan for the Family • We must strive with God’s help for family unity.  • When the family is united, it will endure the trials that come its way. • This godly determination must extend into the devotional life of the family. • B. CHOOSE TO MAKE YOUR HOME HIS HOME • Joshua made a choice for his home. • His choice was for his household to serve one God only, • to worship one God only. A choice against idolatry and for faithfulness. • Christ is the head of this house,The unseen guest at every meal,The silent listener to every conversation.
