Addressing Industry Needs for Community Opportunities

The National Network of Sector Partners and Marin City Community Development Corporation are collaborating to develop renewable energy job training initiatives that align with existing workforce and economic development strategies. With a focus on photovoltaic installation and a partnership with local non-profit Strategic Energy Innovations, eligible trainees can receive a national certification upon completion. Other initiatives include the development of a renewable energy training program for local residents and low-income job seekers, with industry partners including local solar companies and construction trades. The aim is to support a skilled workforce and build a sustainable community.
