Rental Services • Information apartments listings. • Information on applying for an apartment, move-in checklists, help to negotiate a lease, resolve landlord-tenant disputes, advocate with you to protect your rights under the Chicago Landlord-Tenant Ordinance and other applicable federal, state, and local fair housing ordinances. • Information on rental assistance programs, including how to apply for cash assistance and locate homeless prevention services. • Work with you to improve your credit and money management skills.
Landlord Services • pre- and post-purchase housing counseling assistance to improve credit and budgeting skills, advance fair housing, avoid foreclosure • Address credit barriers, evaluate different loan products, apply for first-time homebuyer programs • Foreclosure: Review loan(s) and finances to identify causes of delinquency. Help you complete applications for programs like Making Home Affordable. Work with you during negotiations with your lender and servicer until a resolution is achieved. Help locate outside professionals to help with specific problems, including low-cost legal services.
Condo Services • Group workshops for board and condo owners • Webinars: 60-90 minutes, include power point presentations, with question-and-answer periods • Technical Assistance: Sometimes, unit owners have specific questions. This can be done via E-mail or in person. • Fee-for-service training: help with a very specific issues, such as preparing for developer turnover or monitoring a board election, trainings for associations with specific needs.
