Addressing Climate Change Impacts on Agriculture and Livelihoods in Tanzania through Adaptation Initiatives

This proposal seeks to address the increasing challenges of droughts, extreme rainfall, and water availability in Tanzania due to climate variability. With a focus on supporting sub-national government and civil society organizations, the main aim is to mitigate the impacts on rural areas and agriculture. The project, with a budget of USD 5 million, aims to enhance resilience and adaptation measures through grants and support. The Ministry of Environment will oversee project management, while the Rwanda Green Fund will execute adaptation projects under the Adaptation Fund.
