  2. The First One A device called the Cathode-Ray Tube Amusement Device was patented in the United States by Thomas T. Goldsmith, Jr. and Estle Ray Mann. It had no color, except blue, and it was made 1950.

  3. OXO • OXO, a graphical version tic-tac-toe, was created by A.S. Douglas in 1952 at the University of Cambridge, in order to demonstrate his thesis on human-computer interaction. • It was black and white and it had 35x16 pixel cathode ray tube.

  4. Early Story • The majority of early computer games ran on university mainframe computers in the United States and were developed by individuals as a hobby. The limited accessibility of early computer hardware meant that these games were small in number and forgotten by posterity.

  5. Early Computers In 1959–1961, a collection of interactive graphical programs were created on the TX-0 machine at MIT.

  6. Early Games It had a cathode tube with approximately 40 x 20 pixels.

  7. PONG In 1972, Pong was released. It was the first arcade video game with widespread success.

  8. Dungeons • 1975: A student, at Claremont Graduate University, wrote the first Computer role-playing game on PDP-10 mainframes: Dungeon. The game was an unlicensed implementation of the new role playing game Dungeons & Dragons.

  9. Dungeons The dungeons maps were shown top-down. It resolution was much lower than VGA.

  10. Akalabeth In 1980, Garriott made the game in wire-frame, first-person view for the underground dungeon portions of the game. Which means the first commercial game that use a 3D effect for turning right or left.

  11. Akalabeth In 2005, a version for JAVA-ME( cell phones) In2010, aversion was made for iPhone, iPod Touch, and recently a version for iPad.

  12. Legend of Zelda The Legend of Zelda (1986) helped establish the action-adventure genre, combining elements from different genres to create a compelling hybrid.

  13. Legend of Zelda The game was also an early example of open world, nonlinear game play, and introduced innovations like battery backup saving.

  14. Final Fantasy Final Fantasy was the first game to show the player's characters on the right side of the screen and the enemies on the left side of the screen, as opposed to a first-person view.

  15. Final Fantasy It resolution was revolutionary with the graphs and incredible maximum resolution of 320 x 100, VGA resolution.

  16. The Era of the Video Games In the last few years a huge number of consoles were designed so more and more game appeared. PlayStation3 Xbox 360 Nintendo DSLite PlayStation2 Nintendo Wii PSP

  17. Super Smash Brothers Melee In 2002, Super Smash Brothers melee was lunch. The stages and gameplay modes make references to, or take their designs from, popular games released by Nintendo. I had mini games in 3D and 2D it had 800x600pixels.

  18. Age of King II • This game was a multiplatform game in 3D with higher resolution 1024x900 in computer version.

  19. Grand Slam Tennis The game was lunched in 2009 for Nintendo Wii. Some features for the Wii version include online play, Wii MotionPlus functionality, pick up and play, a Grand Slam career mode, and all four Grand Slam locations, including Wimbledon. It had HD enable and 3D features.

  20. World of Warcraft • World of Warcraft was almost universally praised by critics upon release,following a period of high anticipation before launch. • It has 1366 x 768 pixel as maximum resolution.
