  1. Animal Rescue Lesson 7

  2. What will you do in this lesson?

  3. What level can you reach? • At level 3 you • At level 4, you • At level 5, you

  4. What you are going to do... There are larger versions of the leaflets on the next slide.

  5. LEAFLET 1 LEAFLET 2 Which is better and why? What are the “good” points in these designs?

  6. Making your leaflet • You are going to use Microsoft Publisher to make the leaflet. • The leaflet will give details of the three pets you have chosen as well as a chart and general information about the Animal Rescue Centre.

  7. Using a template The Animal Rescue Centre have decided that they want a three column leaflet and have provided you with a blank copy to use. Your teacher will show you a copy of this and explain how the leaflet is folded. Right click here and save a copy of the leaflet into your network area, using a sensible name such as “my leaflet”. If you do not know to use Microsoft Publisher, there is a video tutorial to help you. Click here to watch the tutorial.

  8. Finishing off! When your leaflet is complete, email a copy to your teacher as an attachment and also send a copy to a friend. Click here to open a sheet on which you can make comments about any work you receive from someone else in the class. Add your comments and email the sheet back to the person who sent it to you and also to your teacher. When you have done this, go on to the next slide.

  9. Fill in your assessment sheet! Open the assessment sheet you saved at the end of the last lesson and put a 1 next to the level you think you have achieved in lesson 7. Remember to give reasons for your decision!
