How Medicare Works Start Here YES YES You are eligible for Medicare Have You Already Enrolled AM i eligible for medicare Are You: 65 or Older open enrollment for medicare runs from oct,15-dec,7 you can make changes to your plan during this time. NO If you want to signup for Part A AND /Part B you can sign up during "three" enrollment period NO You are not eligible Initial enrollment period Special enrollment period General enrollment period if you are still employed and covered under a group plan for a spouse or a family member's if you are disabled. you can signup anytime while you are still covered and for 8 months, starting the month after the employment ends or coverage ends. if you are turning 65, you can enrol in Medicare for seven months that include the three months before the month of, and three months after your birthday. if you didn’t signup when you were first eligible you can signup between jan1- march 31each year. coverage will begin July 1. So what you can choose (you have two options for medicare) Medicare Advantage Original medicare PART- A Option 1 Option 2 PART- B Cover both A and B and D Insurance for hospitalization services Insurance for doctor fees and expenses With Medicare Advantage plan you don’t need a Medicare Supplement PART- D Prescription drug coverage (run by medicare approved private insurance companies ) For more information you can call us on 207-807-2272
