Overview • 52% response (3,955 issued & 2,044 returns • Overall, staff were positive: • 92% are interested in the University; to them it’s not just a job • 90% say it is a good place to work • 92% say they generally enjoy their work • 85% feel valued by colleagues; 85% by students/other customers

  4. Key Issues • Staff have raised issues about: • Workload and approval processes • Communications • Managing change • Staff involvement and feedback

Comments on improvements • Staff were asked to suggest 3 things to improve: • Better or lower cost catering facilities/food • Better communications between colleagues/team members/ departments • Increased involvement in, and better communication about, important issues • Improve the need/process for approvals • More team working

  7. Comments on what is good • Friendship/camaraderie of team/colleagues • University has a good reputation/is highly thought of • Job satisfaction derived from working with students • Happy/friendly working atmosphere/ environment • Job security is good
