Build a model to demonstrate the effects of Yaw, Roll and Pitch Cut out the templates . Cut out the holes and slits as marked. Tape one pencil to the fuselage. Slide the wing through the slot in the fuselage. Insert and tape the pencil along the wing through the hole in the fuselage. Insert a pencil into the wing and tape to the fuselage. Slide in the elevator into the tail and tape on either side. Now attach the directional disks to demonstrate Yaw, Roll and Pitch.
Now you have built your aeroplane model attach the disks to end of a pencil to demonstrate Yaw, Roll and Pitch. As a guide refer to the diagrams below. The Lateral Axis - Pitch: Pitch is a rotation around the lateral axis of the aircraft. An aircraft pitches its nose up and down to climb and descend. The Longitudinal Axis - Roll: Roll is a rotation around the longitudinal axis of the aircraft. An aircraft rolls its wings side-to-side to make turns. The Vertical Axis - Yaw: Yaw is a rotation around the vertical axis of the aircraft. An aircraft yaws its nose left and right to maintain coordinated flight
