  • AGRICULTURE DIVERSIFICATION AND DEVELOPMENT FUND WITH A CORPS OF RS.20.00 CRORES SET-UP TO UNDERTAKE RESEARCH ON NEW CROPS, THEIR PROCESSING AND MARKETING.
  • FOUR SPECIAL PURPOSE VEHICLES (SPV) I.E. COUNCIL FOR CITRUS JUICES, COUNCIL FOR VALUE ADDED HORTICULTURE, COUNCIL FOR VITICULTURE AND COUNCIL FOR ORGANIC FARMING SET-UP TO PROVIDE IMPETUS TO DIVERSIFICATION EFFORTS.
  • PROMOTION OF RESOURCE CONSERVATION TECHNOLOGIES I.E. ZERO/MINIMUM TILLAGE, HAPPY SEEDER, LASER LEVELING ETC. TO IMPROVE AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTIVITY AND SUSTAINABILITY.
  • APMC ACT HAS BEEN AMENDED TO ENCOURAGE CORPORATES LIKE RELIANCE, FIELD FRESH AND PEPSI CO. TO MAKE INVESTMENTS IN AGRICULTURE BUSINESS i.e. MARKETING INFRASTRUCTURE, CONTRACT FARMING, PROCESSING ETC.
  • ADEQUATE AND TIMELY SUPPLY OF QUALITY INPUTS viz. SEEDS, FERTILOIZERS AND PLANT PROTECTION CHEMICALS.

  • STATE HAS WIDE NETWORK OF 66 SOIL TESTING LABS WITH A CAPCITY OF TESTING 5,95,000 PER ANNUM.
  • STATE HAS THREE SEED TESTING LABS WITH CAPACITY OF 5000 SAMPLES PER ANNUM, 3673 SAMPLES ANALYSED UPTO 28TH FEB.
  • STATE HAS TWO FERTILIZERS TESTING LABS WITH A CAPACITY OF 3500 SAMPLES PER ANNUM, 3385 SAMPLES ANALYSED UPTO 28TH FEB.
  • STATE HAS THREE PESTICIDES TESTING LABS WITH A CAPACITY OF 3900 SAMPLES PER ANNUM, 3645 SAMPLES ANALYSED UPTO 28TH FEB.
  • SPECIAL CAMPAIGNS ARE LAUNCHED ANNUALY FOR :

SOIL TESTING : APRIL & MAY, OCTOBER & NOVEMBER.

SEEDS : RABI AND KHARIF SOWING PERIODS.

FERTILIZERS AND PESTICIDES : DURING PEAK CUNSUMPSION PERIOD.

  • FLYING SQUADS ARE ALSO CONSITUTED FOR RANDOM CHECKING.

  • OTHER DANGEROUS MACHINERY LIKE CHAFF CUTTER, SUGARCANE CRUSHER MAY BE BROUGHT UNDER THE ACT.
