How the server works? • Client-side ActionScript file (.swf) resides in the Web Server • Server-side ActionScript file (main.asc) may or may not reside in the same machine • Client makes connection to Flash Media Server via Real Time Messaging Protocol (RTMP)

How to install and set-up the server? • Download and install Adobe Flash Media Server • Start Adobe Flash Media Server • Start Adobe Flash Media Administrations Server • Open Flash Media Administration Console • Provide server address, user name and password • Open the swf file from web browser (http://localhost/sample.swf) • swf file calls the main.asc file residing in the server
