  6. It is estimated from 1817-1923 Cholera killed millions of people

  7. As late as the 1800s, causes and cures of Cholera remained mysterious

  8. John Snow disproved the theory that Cholera was caused by Miasma John Snow

  9. Snow’s studies identified the source of the outbreak to be from the public water supply

  10. This occurred 30 Years before Robert Koch isolated Vibrio Cholerae In 1854 while working in Florence I isolated the cholera bacillus Vibrio Cholerae. FilippoPancini

  11. Cholera stems from the ingestion of food or water contaminated with the bacterium Vibrio cholerae

  13. Cholera is present world-wide but Prevalence differs dramatically

  14. There are still an estimated 3–5 million cholera cases and 100 000–120 000 deaths due to cholera per year.
