  2. The stair has142 steps , which dates from 1608. It connects the upper and lower part of Caltagirone. Each step has a different decor ceramic inspired by the local culture. It is here that the locals celebrate their most important holiday. For the spring, the stairs dresses in flowers or lanterns at La Scala and La Luminaria infiorata , so the staircase is then used as a canvas to make a masterpiece work.
