  2. Atmosphere • Noun. The gaseous mass surrounding the Earth or any celestial body.

  4. Depict • Verb. To represent by drawing or painting; portray. To picture in words; describe.

  5. Exhibition • Noun. The act of showing publically. A public display.

  6. Impressive • Adjective. Producing attention, wonder, respect, or admiration.

  7. Induce • Verb. To bring about; cause. To lead to an action; persuade.

  8. Ingredient • Noun. Any one of the elements in a mixture.

  9. Inherent • Adjective: Existing in someone or something as a permanent or basic characteristic.

  10. Prevalent • Dominating.

  11. Surpass • Verb. To go beyond; excel. Exceed.

  12. Step One • For each vocabulary word create a circle map. • Put the word and definition in the middle of the circle map • On the outer bubbles add the part of speech.

  13. Step Two – Three - Four • Draw an illustration of the word. • Evaluate the illustration, how or why does it work or not work with the definition. • Write three personal associations you have with the word.

  14. Step 5 – Step 6 • Write 2 synonyms. • Evaluate the synonyms how or why does it work or not work with the definition.

  15. Step 7 – Step 8 • Write 2 antonyms. • Evaluate the antonyms how or why does it work or not work with the definition.

  16. Step 9 – Step 10 • Create sentences using context clues with the vocabulary words. • Evaluate the sentence how or why does it work or not work with the definition.

  17. Step 11 – Step 12 • Create a frame of reference. • Put a new definition in your own words.

  18. Step 13 • Use all of the vocabulary words in a paragraph.

  19. Evaluate the Map • Make sure that you have your original map. • Look over the information to ensure you agree with everything on it and it is accurate; this is your grade for the circle map.
