  1. Taking Great Car Photos for Reviews by Automotive Touch Up

  2. Automotive Touch Up is a longstanding company that encourages customers to leave reviews, complete with photos, of their restoration and repair projects. If you’d like to add to Automotive Touch Up reviews, or just take some great photos of your car, tips like those below will help you get the shots you’re looking for:

  3. Skip the Parking Lot Location is important if you want a picture to remember. Skip the parking lot and choose a place that’s interesting and has good light. This might mean an abandoned garage with fun graffiti to offset the sleek, smooth car or a sloping field with snowy peaks in the background. Unless you have a parking lot in mind with a stellar view behind it, almost anywhere would be better than a parking lot.

  4. Use a Tripod Tripods are not expensive, but they’ll make your shots look professional, especially in low-light conditions. Set up the angle that you want to capture the car from, slow down the shutter speed and take your shot. Using a tripod in a busy area, like a city street, with long exposure will allow the moving elements to blur while your car remains crystal clear, bringing further focus to its curves.

  5. Play with Light Light is meant to be played with in photography. From shooting just after sunset for soft lighting to placing several lights around your car to puddle a spotlight around it, lighting will make or break your photos. Experiment and find what works. For inspiration, look at other pictures to see how light is used and give it a go
