Education • The basic requirement needed in this field is a bachelor’s degree with extensive coursework in chemistry and biology, or just a bachelor’s degree in natural science. • According to the American Academy of forensic science (AAFS) the most important thing to them is to choose a major that provides extensive coursework in math and a minimum of 24 academics units of biology and chemistry. • You need to take extensive math and science coursework, classes in criminal justice, criminal law, forensic archaeology, and public speaking would be very useful. • Forensic science technicians should often take continuing education course throughout their career.
