FNDC5 Absorption Control in Murine Skeletal Muscle and Adipose Tissue

This supplemental figure illustrates the absorption control in murine skeletal muscle and subcutaneous white adipose tissue using FNDC5 staining. Sections from wild type mice were stained for FNDC5, with and without pre-absorption with recombinant FNDC5. The results show the impact on immunostaining. Magnification 200x, scale bar = 50 mm.

Section of murine gastrocnemius skeletal muscle and subcutaneous white adipose tissue obtained from a wild type mice were stained for FNDC5 using a rabbit polyclonal IgG recognizing the carboxy-terminal end of FNDC5 (ab93373, abcam Ltd.) (left panels). The brown immunostaining was abolished if the antibody was first pre-absorbed with recombinant FNDC5 overnight at 4 ºC (right panels). Magnification 200x, scale bar=50 mm.
