CALCULATION • In our Center – 150 Enrolment -5 trainers + 5 trained trainees + counsellor - CM will address the meet of 150 numbers and group pic required - In the batch of 30 per room 5 rooms will be accommodated and 1 trainer & 1 trainee will council , fill form online & hard copy. • In Other Centers- 200 Enrolment -5 trainers + 5 trained trainees + counsellor - CM will address the meet of 150 numbers and group pic required - In the batch of 30 per room 5 rooms will be accommodated and 1 trainer & 1 trainee will council , fill form online & hard copy.

Broad Calculation • Total candidates to get Enrolled – 20000 • Payout per candidate – 40 • Total Revenue generation – 800000 • Total Centers – 6 UP • Target allocation – Each center 3333 no. • Target Consumption – 350 per week – 150 center -200 non center • Days allocated – 10 days if 350 covered in 1 day / 20 days if 350 covered in 2 days.

WorldSkills and IndiaSkills Showcasing India’s talent to the World • WorldSkills – Largest skills competition globally, held every two years • NSDC spearheading India’s participation at WorldSkills through the WorldSkills India initiative since 2011 • Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship(MSDE) & NSDC launched India’s first National Skill Competition- IndiaSkills in 2016, to invite participation from states across India. Key Features of Skill Saathi: • Target Beneficiaries include students/candidates, School & College Drop-outs, young adults from the community, college students, polytechnic students, ITI students, Diploma students, Graduates, Post-Graduates, PMKVY certified candidates, NEET category (Not in Employment education or Training) and the youth of India at large, preferably in the age group of 15 – 35 years. • Facilitate Awareness and Guidance among the Candidates about the available courses as per their aptitude and Psychometric Test results and availability of skill training prospects.

  19. Counselling Implementing Organizations (CIOs): Types of CIOs & Selection • Government CIOs: These CIOs are organizations/agencies registered under State Government or Government of India (GoI). Such CIOs are exempted from the selection process. These CIOs may participate in the Counselling Scheme voluntarily, basis an invitation from MSDE. • Training Partners/Centres affiliated under the NSDC Ecosystem Such CIOs automatically qualify and are exempted from the selection process. These CIOs will participate in the Counselling Scheme basis directives from NSDC/MSDE. • Not for Profit CIOs Such CIOs will go through a selection process, basis norms laid down by NSDC & duly notified on https://www.nsdcindia.org. Short listing of CIOs will be carried out by a committee appointed by NSDC & evaluation criteria as notified on https://www.nsdcindia.org/.

Registration of CIO under NSDC Ecosystem : Registration of CIO would be done through web portal through following the link http://skillsaathi.nsdcindia.org/ No session should be conducted without registration of the Center on this App. Post submission of the details of the center on this App, the Center will get approved by NSDC and a Mobile App link will be shared with the TC SPOCs on their SDMS-registered TC SPOC E-mail Ids to further register the Event and the Session. This will be done on a real-time basis, while the actual session is being conducted.

Online Registration through App/Web Portal • All CIOs have to register on 2 different online platforms: - Registration of CIO would be done through web portal through following the link -  http://skillsaathi.nsdcindia.org/ - Candidate registration on Skill India mobile app : Registration of candidates would be done through mobile apps(only) Link - Open the website( https://skillindia.nsdcindia.org/) in mobile and click on Google playstore ( Candidate Registration Mobile Application) to install the application. Reimbursements for counselling of each candidate will be executed only once the geo tag & time stamped coordinates of data from both these apps are mapped and verified & successfulattendance of the candidate at the counselling venue is established by NSDC.

  35. Batch of a Counselling Session The CIO can make batches of up to a maximum of 200 candidates for each session/per venue/day – registered on the Skill India portal and validated through the Skill Saathi monitoring app, subject to approval by NSDC.

Counselling Session Methodology IntroductorySession - Duration 5 Minutes Counselling Video Screening - Duration 10-15 Minutes The Tool Kit -Duration 5 Minutes Psychometric Test - Duration 20 Minutes Wrap-Up Session – Duration 5Minutes Administer the Psychometric Test Distribution Brochures Face to Face counselling Screening of Video Counselling Context Setting • Distribution of Skill India Brochures • Distribution of Brochure to each candidate. • Reinforce the Skill India Mission • Provide information on the alternate/parallel path available to academics • Provide information of centres in the nearby areas where youth could visit for necessary guidance. • Inform the candidates that some schemes are free of cost and some are fee based. • Distribution of State Skill Directory • Provide Information on the booklet/directory and what it’s all about. • Provide information on some skill centres located nearby. • Site examples on the process of how they can contact the skill centre. • Provide information about the helpline number (91 - 88000 – 55555) • Allow candidates to ask questions about the different sectors and job roles • Inform them about different sectors (Refer to link for details) https://www.nsdcindia.org/sector-skill-councils-1 • Inform the candidates about the different job roles available • Motivate the candidates to opt for skill training • Read out Instructions of the Psychometric Assessment • Inform the students that this test is to map their interest areas • Inform them that the results of this test will help the candidates take informed career choices • Inform the candidates that this test is only an indicator to assist them in self-discovery of their interest and aptitude • Distribute the psychometric test sheets and pen to each candidate • Read aloud each statement in the test, in the local language • Request the candidates to mark their choices on paper against each statement • Help them total their scores based on their responses • Interpret the scores/results based on the information provided • Once the test is completed instruct the participants to pick two of their top interest (the two with highest scores) and look up the charts to find out what the two top interests mean • Each session for a min. of 200 candidates • Minimum 1-hour session according to the Counselling Module • Open to all (Grade 8-12 school students, School & College Drop-outs, ITI, Diploma, Graduates, Post-Graduates, PMKVY certified candidates etc.) • Mobilisation Process includes advertisements, campaigning, etc • Engage the candidates and build rapport • Speak in the local language for easy understanding • Set the context and provide information on the Skill India Mission • Ensure that the narrative under the Skill India Mission and New India is spread properly. • Set the projector so that the video is visible to all • The sound system should be audible • The lights of the hall in which the video is being shown should be switched off during screening • No disturbance of people walking etc during screening • Click pictures and upload on the monitoring app Operational Training Centres

  38. Psychometric Test As a part of the counselling, the participants have the option to get their Occupational Interest Profiling done. For this purpose, a psychometric tool called the RAISEC occupational interest profile is being used. RAISEC – an Acronym for Realistic, Investigative, Artistic, Social, Enterprising and Conventional- brings out primary interest(s) of the test taker. After identifying interests, The RAISEC model describes each of the six interests as depicted in the diagram below. Having understood their interest profiles/occupational personalities, the participants can identify the vocational choices

Monitoring, Tracking & Validation • Analysis of data on the Skill Saathi Monitoring App – mapping Geo Tagged & Time Stamped coordinates of the pictures of the counselling session, with that of the registered CIO/centre credentials • Analysis of credentials mentioned against each candidate mapping Geo Tagged & Time Stamped coordinates of the pictures of the candidates attending the counselling session, with that of the registered CIO/centre credentials • Call Validations (Optional) • Surprise Visits (Optional) • NSDC reserves the right to check the duplication of candidates, basis its internal mechanisms • Officials of NSDC/MSDE shall also be empowered to monitor the Scheme • Occasional Visit of MPs, MLAs and regional public representatives • NSDC reserves the right to conduct forensic audit, and in case of any adverse findings, monetary pay – outs will not be reimbursed. • Monetary penalty will be levied on the CIO, if found guilty, by the competent authority - at any point, up to or commensurate to 10 times more than the monthly reimbursement sought.

Branding of the Centre • Adequate size, prominently visible standee of the branding provided by NSDC at the entrance of the venue • Adequate size, prominently visible banner of the branding provided by NSDC at the back of the hall/room in which counselling is being conducted • Making short duration videos (max 30 seconds-mobile) of at least 4 candidates in every session with a relevant cut out or poster at the back stating how helpful the session was for him/her and sharing it with NSDC for circulating on social media. • Tagging sharing benefits of Skill Saathi on all Social Media Platforms like Twitter #fark dikhrahahai etc. • All content on the collaterals shared by NSDC will be adapted in regional languages as well, by NSDC for better comprehension.

Financial Reimbursement • Each CIO may be incentivized with a financial reimbursement @ ₹40 per candidate. • Documentary Evidence required for Reimbursement (Formats of these documents will be shared by NSDC) • Undertaking from the CIO in the desired format, as notified by NSDC/MSDE • Submission of Invoice • Letter from the Head of Institution for completion of counselling, for the number of candidates for which reimbursement is being sought. E.g. If the counselling session has been conducted in a KV, then a letter from the principal of that KV is required.
