  2. Introduction • This chapter is pretty much all about family and society, this is the chapter where Amir goes to get Sohrab from Assef. In their society honour is everything and this shows when Assef fights Amir for Sohrab. Assef will allow Amir to take Sohrab if he can make it out alive as he feels that only one of them will walk out alive.

  3. Summary • Amir goes to get Sohrab from Assef • Sohrab shows signs of abuse • Amir fights Assef for sohrab’s and his own life • Sohrab shoots Assef’s eye out with a slingshot • Amir leaves with Sohrab

  4. Explanation • Amir shows courage and honour when he goes to get Sohrab, he is willing to risk his life to save the life of Sohrab. Sohrab takes after his father, in the way that he is good with a slingshot, they both have shot Assef with their slingshots. Amir is courageous enough to be victorious and win the freedom of Sohrab.
