Enhancing Access to Oregon's Spatial Data: The Oregon Spatial Data Library Initiative

The Oregon Spatial Data Library (OSDL) was launched to facilitate easy access to various spatial datasets including high-resolution aerial imagery. Funded through a partnership with the State of Oregon's Geospatial Enterprise Office (GEO), it enables users to search, download, and extract data efficiently. Launched in late 2007 and 2009, OSDL has garnered positive feedback for its usability, revolutionizing projects in fields like botany and natural resource management. With an average of 42 visits per day, it is rapidly becoming a vital resource for researchers and students alike.
