  3. What is a Bully? • A bully is anyone who……. • Physically abuses you • Verbally abuses you • Hurts you • Or makes you feel bad an any way

  4. Why does it happen? Bullying can happen for a number of different reasons. Many bullies pick on other people because they feel bad for themselves and picking on others helps them. Bullies also do hurtful things to others because it has been done to them before and that is how they deal with it. Lack of attention can also affect how bullies treat others.

  5. How can you stop it? You can stop bullying by……… • Always staying in a big group of friends • Tell a teacher or trusted adult if you feel bullied • Stand up for yourself • Have confidence in yourself • Don’t look intimidated

  6. How can you help? If you see someone being bullied...... • report it immediately to the nearest adult. • Stick up for them • Don’t stand by and watch someone being bullied-that makes you a bully

  7. Forms of Bullying…… Physical bullying • Physical altercation • Out of control horseplay • Hitting or punching • Kicking

  8. Forms of Bullying(con.)….. Verbal bullying • Name-calling • Hurtful words • Spreading rumors

  9. Forms of Bullying(con.)……. Cyber bullying • Any bullying done on the computer, internet or on a telephone
