  3. Order of Operations First, check if there are any Parentheses, and if there are, solve what is in the Parentheses. Next, see if there are any Exponents, and if there are, solve them. After that, see if there is anywhere you need to Multiply or Divide, and if there is, then solve whatever comes first in the problem. Lastly, see if there is anywhere you need to Add or Subtract, and if there is, then solve whatever comes first in the problem. Example: (4x5)-3+6₂ 4x5=20 6₂=36 20-3=17 17+36=53
